Πρακτική Άσκηση

 

Το Κολλέγιο Ανατόλια δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε τελειόφοιτους ανώτερων και ανώτατων εκπαιδευτικών ιδρυμάτων, τμημάτων Λογιστικής/Οικονομικών, Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων, Εμπορίας και Διαφήμισης, Δημοσίων Σχέσεων, Marketing, Πληροφορικής/Προγραμματισμού, Βιβλιοθηκονομίας, Logistics, Φυτικής Παραγωγής, Έργων Υποδομής, να πραγματοποιήσουν την πρακτική τους άσκηση όπως ορίζεται απο το εκάστοτε πρόγραμμα (ΟΑΕΔ ΕΣΠΑ κλπ) και τη σχετική νομοθεσία του εκάστοτε εκπαιδευτικού ιδρύματος/φορέα, σε ένα ολοκληρωμένο επαγγελματικό, επιχειρησιακό και δημιουργικό περιβάλλον, κάνοντας το πρώτο βήμα στη καριέρα τους για την απόκτηση εμπειρίας. 

Οι σπουδαστές που θα πραγματοποιήσουν την πρακτική τους άσκηση στο Κολλέγιο Ανατόλια, θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να έρθουν σε επαφή με οργανωμένα συστήματα, να αποκτήσουν επαγγελματική εμπειρία, να αναπτύξουν τις δεξιότητές τους  και να χτίσουν τα θεμέλια της επαγγελματικής τους εμπειρίας στο πεδίο ενδιαφέροντός τους.

 

Απαραίτητα προσόντα:

  • Δικαίωμα εκπόνησης πρακτικής άσκησης μέσω ΟΑΕΔ ΕΣΠΑ ή ΙΕΚ

  • Καλή γνώση MS Office

  • Καλή γνώση αγγλικών

  • Επικοινωνιακές δεξιότητες

Off-Campus Resident Assistant (RA), ACT (American College of Thessaloniki)

 

ACT (the American College of Thessaloniki), the tertiary division of Anatolia College invites expression of interest for the position of Off-Campus Resident Assistant (RA) from September 10, 2018 – December 21, 2018.

The Resident Assistant will support the academic success, social development and personal growth of students by creating intentional programs and experiences within a diverse community of learners that involve students, faculty and staff. He/She actively participates in the development of a comprehensive residence life program. The RA position, due to its live-in nature, requires willingness to be called into service at any time of the day or night in order to meet students' needs as they arise, even in times of emergency when the campus may be closed. The RA will function as a resource and peer advisor to residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accommodation in Studio Apartment (September 10, 2018 – December 21, 2018) or Hotel (September 14, 2018-December 15, 2018)
  • Attend and participate in staff training sessions and in regular staff meetings.
  • Contribute actively to the arrival/departure and the check-in/check-out procedures as assigned.
  • Assist with student orientation preparation and presentations.
  • Assist residents in their adjustment to roommates and community living
  • Serve as a translator and facilitator at the residence site and beyond.
  • Assist in the supervision of the residence: enforcing housing rules, regulations and policies and responding to all residents’ requests and emergencies (e.g. fire, health, safety).
  • Respond to all witnessed violations of ACT policies. Prepare and submit the appropriate report to the IPO Director within 24 hours.
  • Receive and promptly process requests for housing maintenance repairs and custodial needs received from residents.
  • Remain on-call throughout the program duration.
  • Design and implement experiences for residents that enhance their social, educational and personal development and connect them to ACT community.
  • Conduct periodic meetings for the purpose of planning events, disseminating pertinent College information, and explaining on-campus housing policies and procedures.
  • Actively encourage and promote involvement in ACT events & activities and inspire residents to be active participants.
  • Act as a service learning liaison and accompany students to on & off-campus activities/sessions and to service learning sites.
  • Chaperone students on trips as instructed by the IPO (minimally Vergina & Athens trips) and to other locations (e.g. service learning, hospital, police station etc.).
  • Attend all scheduled in-services offered during non-meeting times.
  • Act as a liaison; connecting the appropriate staff member of ACT with the residents regarding issues of concern to the residents.
  • Assure confidentiality in regard to incidents reported in order to protect the privacy of individuals involved.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
  • Act as an ACT representative, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Must have completed 1 year of College prior to starting the position.
  • Must be in good student conduct standing.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Fluency in English and Greek.
  • Ability to work well both in a team and in individual situations.
  • Comfortable being a leader in group settings.
  • Ability to use authority with good judgment.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate crisis situations and respond appropriately.
  • Possess administrative skills.
  • Possess effective communication skills in order to successfully approach people and establish good rapport with them, mediate conflict situations and to enforce College and housing policies.

Experience

  • Experience working in a school/ education field is considered an asset
  • Experience living, studying, or working abroad is considered an asset

Computer Science Instructor, ACT (American College of Thessaloniki)

 

ACT (the American College of Thessaloniki), the tertiary division of Anatolia College, is seeking Computer Science Instructor(s). The position is a temporary part-time assignment (September 2018- December 2018) and may be renewable upon agreement of all parties.

The areas of interest to the Division of Technology and Science are:

  • Cryptography
  • App development - Android, iOS, or Hybrid Application Development (React Native, Ionic …)
  • Web-Development/Programming
  • Algorithms 

The Computer Science Instructor provides the expertise and knowledge that supports the college curriculum and programs, establishes courses following accepted higher education standards, teaches students (lecture and/or laboratory) using a variety of effective methodologies, and engages students in learning activities. The incumbent can carry a teaching load up to 3 courses per term, with demonstrated expertise and experience in classroom teaching in area(s) of Computer Science, and participate in the activities of the Division and the College. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate skill and knowledge in teaching discipline.
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative technologies, methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
  • Develop and use a syllabus for each course (or laboratory) within college, discipline, and departmental guidelines and submit one copy to the department chair.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and materials, appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles that assist them in meeting course objectives.
  •  Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives, and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.
  • Learn and apply technologies that support student learning. 
  • Keep pace with developments in the discipline. 
  • Participate in discipline committee or program meetings and activities. 
  • Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with professional standards, and requirements of business/industry, and higher education. 

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or closely related field is required.
  • Candidates holding a Master’s degree in the discipline will be considered but preference will be given to those who hold a Doctoral degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
  • Before being hired to teach a course, the applicant must be registered in the College’s Teachers Registry of the Ministry of Education (Μητρώο Διδασκόντων Κολλεγίων).

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Proficiency in the development of Computer Science curriculum and course development
  • Experience with current best practices in Computer Science lecture and lab instruction
  • Leadership experience in an educational environment with sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment
  • Willingness and ability to teach day or evening classes
  • Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software  
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a student-centered environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with and effectively manage a diverse professional, community and student population

Teaching/Professional Experience

  • A minimum of one or more years of college level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required. College level teaching experience at a US - accredited higher education institution is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve in an administrative capacity.
