Since its ground-breaking beginnings in 1984 Rainbow has seen faces change, has changed venue and even name but it has always stayed true to one ideal; innovation. Now, over 25 years later, Rainbow, as its name suggests, traverses a wide spectrum of environments for learners, discoverers both young and not-so. We now have under our umbrella:
- Summer Science, a voyage of practical science exploration for Gymnasium and Lyceum students that runs parallel with the Rainbow camp.
- Saturday discovery, a course that runs throughout the school year and includes forensic science, Robotics and Why? a magical science course for juniors.
WHY? Science the way kids like it; discovery rather than information. This year's course will focus on how the inventions that affect our daily lives have been the product a chain of events that have travelled around the world. From paper to the internet, from the wheel to the hybrid car. By understanding the hows and whys we hope inspiration might put the next link in the chain right here in our kids.
Robotix Believe it or not, Robots have been part of our everyday life and all of us interact with them on a daily basis! Get the chance to explore a robot’s anatomy then design and build the robot of your dreams. Students will first learn how to design, build and program their robots then practically apply this knowledge to solve tasks and problems.
- Eco-sports: Younger students discover their place in the environment through a series of fun exercises and activities. Run by a dedicated team of environmental educators this course was a great success last year and we'll be inviting them back this year.
- Drama: We have, without a doubt, the most comprehensive drama programme of any summer camp. Completely coordinated by a professional team of education in drama specialists, from the concepts of the course to the training of the teachers.
- Mystic: for the third consecutive year, the famous teachers of Mystic Aquarium will share with your kids their experience from their researches on sea mammals.
- Cookery: There'll be no nightmares in our kitchen when kids learn about healthy ingredients and how to make and bake some delicious dishes from around the world. We assume that they won't need any help learning to eat them and if you're lucky some might make it home for you to try.
