Print Collections The Anatolia College Eleftheriades Library's PRINT COLLECTION currently numbers some 25.000 monograph titles and over 100 periodical and newspaper subscriptions. The collection is 50% English and 50% Greek. It is divided into Reference - materials to be used in the library - and the Circulating Collection, materials which may be checked out for either one or two weeks. There are also two special collections in the library: the "Merzifon History" rare books Collection - brought from Asia Minor when the School moved to Thessaloniki - and the "TSAMIS" literature collection (not in Catalogue). The Eleftheriades Library also caters to and supports the Anatolia Elementary School and our Collection has started to develop accordingly. World Book - World Book offers more than 25,000 encyclopedia articles as well as pictures, tables and multimedia. Oxford English Dictionary - guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources. Academic Search Premier - full text database of over 4,000 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, multi-cultural studies, and education. Business Source® Complete - full text database of 22,848 journals covering business, management, economics, finance, banking, and accounting. Funk and Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia - general encyclopedia with over 25,000 entries ERIC - citations and abstracts from 980 educational journals and related documents from the Educational Resource Information Center. The Serials Directory - bibliographic and price information for 182,000 U.S. and international periodicals. Military Library - Current news on all branches of the military from 350 periodicals and 245 pamphlets. And others Complete backfiles of core scholarly journals in such fields as Anthropology, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population/Demography, Sociology, and Statistics. full text database of all the Johns Hopkins University Press journals (1996 to the present) and selected journals from the presses of Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, Indiana University, MIT, Oxford University, Penn State, University of Hawaii, University of Texas, and the University of Wisconsin, covering arts, culture, history, literature philosophy, and politics. Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) - comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward - includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs. All sections of CIAO are updated monthly. |
